A Night Out: Harold Pinter

A Night Out
Dialogue By: Harold Pinter

Albert, Mr. Ryan and Mr. King has been working together in the same business company. Ryan is going to have a new job in another business company. Mr. King is giving a farewell party. Albert is invited to the farewell  party. The mother of Albert does not want the son to go the party at night. Albert says that he does not have any desire to go to the party.

The mother plays different tricks to stop the son from going to the party. She tells him to put the bulb in the underground dark room. She tells him to play the games of cards. Finally, she says that if the son does not obey her, the father will become upset in his grave. Although Albert says that he does not have any desire to go to a party, he attends the party. He says so just to do console the mother. As the mother has already lost her husband, she does not want to lose her son, because Albert is the only thing she has.
