 The extract is in support of war. It presents war as an ideal and glorious event. The British soldiers are going to take part in the battle of Agincourt. Henry V is the commander. He is addressing the soldiers. He wants to inspire the soldiers so that they can get the victory. 
  


  In order to inspire the soldiers, he touches upon fight Sentiments, Manhood, Parenthood, Patriotism, Pride and Nobility. War is a chance for the soldiers show his manhood. In peace a soldier is not able to show his courage. Henry V address that the British soldiers are sons of Alexander The Great. Alexander The Great was the courageous British warrior. They have to prove that they are the real sons of Alexander  The Great. War is a chance for the soldiers show his sense of Patriotism by defeating the enemy force. We find the sentiments of bright and nobility throughout the extract. We find a lot comparisons. For example: - The British soldiers are compared with the greyhounds. Greyhounds are a dangerous hunting dog. Like the dangerous hunting dogs the British soldiers have to attack and destroy the enemy force. The use of comparisons is very suitable for the context. All those comparisons serve to inspire the soldiers.
