A Refusal to Mourn the Death by Fire, of a Child in London : Dylan Thomas

A Refusal to Mourn the Death by Fire, of a Child in London
Poem By: Dylan Thomas

The Speaker does not like to express sadness over the death of the child by fire in London. The first stanza moves from darkness to darkness. Mankind, bird, beast and flower where all born in darkness. Darkness is the father of creation.Since they were all born in darkness all end in darkness. In the second stanza the speaker talks about entering into the  Zion of the water bead, the Heaven. The speaker does not like to produce any sound of sadness. He does not like to weep and cry. He does not like to put on slakoth to express sadness over the death of someone. The only one truth that is already fixed is death. The moment we come  to this world, our death is already fixed. The girl has a lot of friends in the heaven. If the speaker express sadness over the death of the girl, he has to express sadness over all her friends. It should begin from the person who first died. It is impossible and meaning less along with the poet there is the river. Themes which does not express sadness.
